Let Your Dog Be Your Mindfulness

guru

About

why
jacknfinn?

Having been a therapy dog his whole life, Jack is totally chill. He understands people, their needs, as well as his own. Finn is an explorer and just lives life in an excited state.  Jack exemplifies mindfulness. Finn challenges it. We work with our pet's humans to help us find balance, lower anxiety, enjoy life more. It affects how our dogs respond and how we make choices to live the life we want. Mindfulness calls us to be present in the moment like our dogs. To be without judgement, like our dogs, and with keen observance and awareness of our inner and outer life…again, like our dogs.

The list of life lessons learned from our dogs grows every day. It can become a spiritual, playful, often hilarious series of events that can change our life for the better.  If you want to shift your habits and your life with your dog....

....Come take a walk with us.

QUIET MOMENTS

Meditation is a proven way to gain new perspectives, increase self awareness, fuel creativity, and ground with a deeper knowledge of who we are and what we want in our lives. It also helps us prepare for working with our dog calmly and with purpose and intention.

Finding Joy & Balance

Coaching is one way to find support to keep moving forward, balancing life/work/relationships. It also helps us deal with change and transition in a more positive way.  The more we know ourselves and what we want, the more frequently we experience joy. And, the more confident we are when exploring life with our dog.

Connecting with Body...

We aren't all into yoga, but it is a good reminder of how we can become more attuned with our body and energize our spirit.  What activities can you do to achieve that goal?  How can your dog help?  Being physical beings, our dogs reflect self awareness and curiosity about their world.

What People Say

IMG_2613.JPG

I've not always been a dog person. It wasn't until I became buddies with my dog that I began to notice how he could chill, enjoy slow walks and let me know how he was feeling. He reminds me to do the same for myself.

My dog would jump on me, scratch me when I arrived home. Irritation is putting it mildly. So, I finally decided to calmly

change my thoughts and expectations going into the house and pay attention to him first. It made all the difference.

Buck developed anxious behaviors. I couldn't figure it out and it was making both of us crazy. I tried some mindfulness techniques first on me and then on Buck. Now we're into prevention instead of frustration.

Walks were always a challenge. My dog would dart one way, then the other. I began to notice his distractions and developed new behaviors for both of us. We actually would stop and listen/watch together. It not only helped him, but me as well.
